Good to know
- Shape and packing change how much fits in a cup: a packed cup of spaghetti is 151 g (239 calories) and a cup of penne is 107 g (169). Weighing is more reliable than volume.
- Dry pasta is much denser. Two ounces dry (57 g) has about 211 calories, and 100 g dry has 371 compared with 158 for 100 g cooked.
- Sauce, oil and cheese are separate entries.
